Lens cracking and chipping

Do you have any pictures? Could your lens be delaminating?
It’s common for older lenses to delaminate. Had some models that I cherished and this happened to them. I seriously could cry.

I seriously could cry. $hitty thing is nothing can stop the delaminating. There are some that take off that layer that’s coming up. Me, I would replace the lens if I could. This is critical for me as I can get headaches if my vision isn’t clear.Last edited:
Some people use scotch tape or packing tape to remove the iridium coating that delaminates. I just get new lenses. If new lenses are not available, I get custom cut ones. Linegear out of Japan offers a lot of lenses too.All my lenses delaminated, I replaced all of then, bought oakley cleansing kit and that's all I used to clean my glasses, but it happened again.
That's when I stopped buying oakley.
I thought it was a quality problem because of luxottica acquisition, but since I joined the forum I learned it happens with all models even the older ones.Similar threads
