Loose Half X Earstems

Hello all. I just got a used pair of Half X in. The stem screws are as tight as I can get them but the stems are very loose and wobble. They still fle in and out fine just the up and down is sloppy. Any fixing them? is this an inherit problem with them?

Do the half x use washers in the arms to keep them tight like other metals? If so I'd start by replacing them and see how they feel.

No I don't think so. They use washers to tighten down lenese but not the stems.
