I finished up another pair! I recently acquired a Monster Dog that was polished black and had some scratched up aftermarket lenses. I Cerakoted the frame Tungsten (H-237) and coated the icons with LR Black (LR-100). I had aftermarket lenses that looked like Ruby from the outside, but I really liked how these turned out and can see myself wearing them often so I wanted some nicer lenses to look through. Enter @Chris A Hardaway who quickly set me up with some Ruby Prizms for this old dog! I’m really liking them now!

BRAVO!! 👏👏

Looks fantastic...gotta love Cerakote. I'm still not quite up to pulling out my long unused airbrush. I did pick up some Cerakote air cure OD and Coyote...still a LONG way away from trying their heat cured.

I have a pair of Tortise Monster Dogs I was gonna use for a custom some day...too many other frames in the line before 'em. A Plate, three Jawbones-Racing Jackets, a New Straight Jacket 2, and two Turbines...so many frames and so little time!

Seriously...you gotta try Steel-It! Just sayin' 😏

Thank you. Cerakote has been good for me in my little garage shop. I got in to doing it after paying three different people to coat some slides I had milled. I’d send them away and they’d come back the wrong color! So finally had enough and decided to figure it out for myself. I just use a large toaster oven for now, but am building my own oven that will have an interior space of about 5.5’x3’x3’ for some bigger projects, but for now I use their air cure series for bigger things. Just a much better color selection with their H series!

Sounds like you have some nice project pairs on your list! I hope to acquire a Plate one day. I’ve always been in to Oakley but really only started to build my collection over the past two years.
