MUZM Mars

What a shame. I really thought I might be able to actually "replace" the mars pairs I sold earlier this year. No chance. Lux is for the birds. I'm rolling with the M. Quality and affordability plus a company that actually seems to give a damn. Soon I will have more M's than O's. Red gigawatt and sage lenses on the way!

I’m stealing that🤣
Credit where credit is due :)

It seems Lux is continuing to follow other retail industries “scalping” their customers themselves. Ticketmaster with “dynamic pricing” on release day prices set at scalping level ($1800+ Bruce Springsteen face value tickets for good seats) so all the hardcore fans get scalped. Then after a couple weeks prices drop down in some cases by 50% for anything left. They say it prevents ticket flipping but at what cost? It’s stupid and ridiculous. “We don’t want people flipping tickets so we are gonna screw you ourself”

If Lux believes flippers are going to buy at $850 or $1500 or whatever is actually a reasonable price and sell for $2300 they decide they should just sell for $2300 themselves. Prevent the resale market. And the hardcore collectors can purchase and get what they want. If they don’t all sell of course they can drop the price even by 50% if they want.

This is the cause/effect of the secondary retail market. I collect other things and it is happening with them too. So who do we blame and how do we stop it. Well if these really are $2300 it’s a dead stop for me and many others. Even at 50% it’s a tough buy for me but I am lucky enough to have a pair and I did pay more than $1100 for mine. At $850 I would say they could be worth considering.
