My Extremely Humble Collection

I would consider using the 3M pads wet, and maybe try a couple different grades on the back, so you could decide which gets the best results.

Good advice! I should have it here in a couple weeks so lots of time to prep.
Here is information about the 3M pads, in case you want to try some different "grits"

SCOTCHBRITE GRIT CHART

Here is my 4th R1. I believe it was refinished by none other than @zwc0442. It's a smooth silver, kind of like a satin plasma finish... LOVE IT. Custom-cut Chrome Iridium lenses expertly cut by @docrusty. All 4 of my R1 have hand-cut lenses that fit perfect - it's an art I do not take for granted! I don't know how you guys do it! With the lighter frame finish, lighter (than Black Iridium) lenses, and red socks, I'm calling this my Winter Jordan R1 :dance:

I was getting ready to turn in my Jeep lease, and wanted something different; I ended up gettiing something VERY DIFFERENT, but I'm really happy with it.

It's a 2023 Camaro Convertible 2LT with the [somewhat] rare "Shock and Steel" package. I don't how many of this color combo are being made, but I have only seen a couple 2023 versions around.

The "Shock" color is extremely similar to Oakley's Retina Burn... so it got me thinking I'd like some glasses that coordinate with my new whip. I currently have 4 pairs planned. Here is the first pair I completed - Flak 2.0 Retina Burn with black socks, silver icons, and Fuse Chrome (non-polarized)

I'll take better pics once I have the other 3 pairs finished.

Here are some updates to my collection - both X-Metal and O-Matter.

Finally got the Carbon Half-X as my 4th, and it's complete.

My 4th Juliet is a real looker, matte copper Cerekote with Sapphire by none other than @zwc0442

My 4th XX is a beautiful 24K with fresh rubber and non-polarized custom cuts. I can't wait to wear these.

I've been really diggin' the Resistors lately. Can you tell the difference between PRIZM Field and PRIZM Ruby? Field is in the white frame, and Ruby is in the blue frame.

Finishing off with some more youth pairs, Radar EV XS, really not much smaller than Radar EV, just a little snugger. The black pair with Retina Burn socks is part of a special collection I am assembling... I'll present that group later when I'm finished putting them together.

Here are my R2s, with the latest addition... Plasma with LG Matte Indigo. There's not much blue in the lenses, but they look pretty cool, and are clear to look through. The bottom three pairs all have Fuse Pro lenses with 8BC (close to OEM), all custom-cut by Brandon. As usual, thank you to @Bonz-1 and @zwc0442 for bringing these babbies back to spec.

I never corralled my Jawbones for a group photo. These are mainly customs and MPHs to coordinate with my car and bikes. These wouldn't be possible without the knowledge and expertise of @Beardo0628, @Steven Goldberg, @THEGROUNDPOUNDER99, and last but not least @Bonz-1 for doing awesome paint work and putting up with me!

The top pair is actually a RJ with extra JB parts and Seek Vented Deep Red Mirror lenses. The 2nd from the top is NOS Retina Burn with Fuse Chrome and satin silver icons. The 2nd from the bottom was made to coordinate with my Canyon Ultimate CF SL 8 Di2 road bike. The bottom pair was made to coordinate with my Canyon Pathlite 7 gravel bike.

Thanks to @thisguy, I now have my 3rd matching Mega Tower. I wish I knew more about the history of these earlier display cases, so if anyone knows about the subtle differences between the earlier towers, please feel free to chime in.

I have plenty of work to do to this tower to help it fit in with my other two cases. Here is the list of what I plan to do.

1) Disassemble the top of the case, and remove all acrylic panels, shelves, and locks.

2) Replace the metal, slotted plate at the top (intended for a single round halogen bulb - I think) with new white acrylic. I will likely end up replacing the lenses in the other two towers with the same new acrylic, so the lighting looks consistent all across the displays.

3) Assemble the new LED top lighting similar to the custom lighting I found for the other two cases.

4) Convert the LED lighting in all 3 towers from remote control to direct plug in, all into one strip, so one switch turns all the lights on. The LED remote controllers have been very finicky over the last couple years - it would be even worse with 3 displays.

5) Polish all of the acrylic shelves and display panels with NOVUS 3, then NOVUS 2, sanding where necessary. If you're unfamiliar with the NOVUS products, check them out on Amazon.

6) Polish all accessible parts of the tower by hand, and by a 3" D/A polisher... sanding where necessary. On the last 2 towers, I used both Mother's Metal Polish and Blue Magic Metal Polish. After using several tubs of both, I think I was getting good results with Blue Magic, but with a little less effort. So I am going to stick with Blue Magic for tower #3.

7) Reassemble the case, install new locks (thanks to @Spenc), replace bad aluminum bolts (thanks to @thisguy and @Spenc), install new LED lighting, test and bring it inside to meet it's siblings LOL.

8) Get some new stands from @qtrain23 if he's up to the challenge, and I'm up for paying for what I conjure up in my head.

9) Post new pics here.
Now that I think about it, this is kind of a checklist for me to follow more than you  :behindsofa: ! It also shows me I have to get my *** in gear and get to work!
