I made some progress today - all 8 pieces of plexiglass are polished and ready to go! Not bad for 30-year-old plastic!

Here is one of the 4 shelves... they are all really clean.

One already snapped and hit me in the head... how do you think I got this way?

Polishing is in progress... terrible work... but it's getting done. I used to think the Blue Magic was a better product... but currently the Mother's Aluminum Polish is giving me more cut and better results.

Here are pics before re-assembly. I still have to custom-cut the lenses for the top of the towers... and I have to cut the brackets for the new lighting. I should be done this week.

Towers and lighting are all up and operational. I've discovered that 1.0 and 2.0 displays differ in many ways... mostly subtle, but some very noticeable differences. Overall, I'm happy with the addition. Now if someone nearby had two MINT 4.0 double-wides at an irresistible price, I'd liquidate these aluminum dinosaurs in a heartbeat
