Is there any way to tell the age based on the serial number? I’m thinking I purchased these in the mid 90’s

First set was released 1997. yours would be part of the first run After the initial run of approx 9999, referred to Jordan editions, as they were the pair he wore and the colorway.

so even if you got em early, it would be late 1997-1998 so late 90's
