MYSTERY ROMEO 1 EAR SOCK

I bought a pair of Romeo 1 in the late 1990's, (1997 I think), and still have them. To freshen them up I bought a full set of Linegear rubbers. When I have swapped them I noticed one of the original ear socks has "made in USA" but the other is completely blank and does not have CE which all others I have seen have. I am not concerned as I know they are original as they been in my possession from new but I just wondered if anyone else has come across this?

Yes it’s common for the original Romeo’s ear socks to not have the marking. @cacatman has a good thread on the unique difference of the original Romeo’s which that is one of them.

Yeah some early released romeos are like that fairly normal, some don’t even have any markings
