New terrible Oakley models on the way

True but the Zero was never held on by glue and never was $300

Zero arms aren’t held on with magic lol

And for what it’s worth, current zeros are essentially the same price as the OG ones. The Kato is more complex and more substantial, I would expect them to cost more.

And the Katos were make that way for aerodynamics.

I’m not sure what that has to do with the “glasses being a lens with arms = bad” argument

At least they aren’t screwed on like the whys

Oh I’m not saying non orbital glasses are bad but it would make sense to have the lens replaceable if possible

Never said they were, just pointing it out because I don't remember a lens ever being held onto the stem just by glue. I believe that the Zeros would snap into the arm but again not sure never pulled a Zero frame apart.

I think using the word “glue” is disingenuous. Lots of stuff in your everyday life is assembled using some extreme adhesives. I don’t see it being an issue. Will there be some issues? Sure, but I wouldn’t avoid them because the arms are attached that way

Adhesive... same thing. It may not be an issue, and hopefully it won't be it's just my opinion that Oakley found the cheapest way to attach a lens to a stem and charge premium fees for it.

Again, love the look, may have one one day especially if I try it on and like it, just concerns me is all.

I personally I am afraid to wear mine because I live in one of those extreme weather situations. All summer it’s been 110+ so my hope is the heat won’t cause mine to come undone. They have been collecting dust :/
