Oakley items breaking? Any chance of replacement?

Hello folks,

I recently wore my Oakley M Frames with my favourite black lens. I was cleaning them after using them. The lens popped out for some reason. I will include a photo to show everyone. I attempted to put the lens back. It suddenly snapped! To make matters worse I went into my Oakley vault case to find an alternate lens. The zipper snapped in half as well. If I were to guess, I would say the lens is from 2010s. I suspect the vault case might from 2008? It obviously still works but you need to get a good grip to move it now.

Don’t be upset about the lens, looks like they were delaminating anyway by the pic. I might be wrong, but sometimes pics are deceiving. Sorry for your lost.

I don’t think I’ve heard of this trick! Is it bar soap or kitchen soap like Dawn if you are North America?

bar soap can help with zippers, especially if they are sticking or difficult to move.

You won't find m frame lenses in stores anymore. If you have your heart set on a vented hybrid lens like you have pictured, check ebay or try the exchange here once you qualify. If you dont want to wait there are aftermarket alternatives that are fine.

Just be careful on what you buy. With all the different versions of m frames, if you dont know what your looking at you could end up with the wrong lens.

I think he means the plastic fell off the zipper. It happens as they age and get brittle. Just peel the rest of it off. There is metal underneath. I had to do this to a couple old cases. For the lenses. Yea it sucks. There are plenty of members on here that have replacements in their collections
