Oakley plates on ebay

I'm not against anyone here sniping auctions. But I'm not going to let frames that I think others would want a secret, just because of others. It's a bidding system for a reason and everyone deserves a chance, I would have liked this when I started quite a few times.

Well its up to you.... It been discussed here already a few times before... I know you have good intentions but just think about it... Its just an advice from an old member to a new...

Yes, some people put in quite a lot of time and effort searching down these deals, and spoiling their effort like that, though typically done with the best of intentions, in truth is in poor taste. If you have a friend you know is looking for a pair and you point him to them privately, that's one thing, but publicly posting them ultimately only helps the seller.

Everyone may "deserve a chance", but the ones who put in the effort to find it are the ones who actually earned that chance.

Think about it if you were in their place - you've spent weeks or months scouring listings, finally find a target, then someone else posts about it publicly and the extra attention ends up putting the deal out of your reach, how would you feel about that?

Not trying to be critical, nothing personal here, just educational. What you do is up to you.

Was already done to me with my holiday oil rigs. i understand what you guys are saying and appreciate the feedback, but patronizing me for helping others could have been done differently. Some do not have time to scour eBay or other sources, which is me at times and having a heads up like that when all I have time to do is check the new posts thread, this to me would be greatly appreciated. Since people are getting so upset I won't try to help again.

Regardless of what thread I post it in. There are people all over that thread and others that tell people to pick up items or where they are on Craigslist, when the same applys to them yet I got reemed for trying to help the same way countless others have

Jim, that wasn't anywhere remotely close to being a reaming. Perhaps you took it as such, but it wasn't meant like that. Some etiquette advice and some rib-poking is what it was.

My opinion is it doesn't matter if you post it here or not. You may be helping a forum member sell it for a better price by posting it here or causing the price to go up on an item that a forum member spent months scouring for. Doesnt matter, Same applies. So to say that it shouldn't be posted here is ridiculous. It's not in poor taste and it's not anyone's business to judge what you post. I don't remember there being rules against posting these kinds of things. it's was posted publicly. So post away. just my 0.02
