Last one, I think...Still in stock on the UK website.

Sold out UK.Last one, I think...![]()
What did the glass holder run on it's own?Its really expensive at $680 plus tax but this is one of those rare Collaboration where the collaborator actually put in more effort on the product than Oakley. For this release, Oakley merely provided the frame and Swarovski did rest.
Start with the labor hours prepping and drilling holes on the frame, then hand setting each of the 860+ crystals.
Then there is the premium packaging from Swarovski which made this collab feel very premium with this really awesome brushed finished cardboard box with silver and gold tone.
The co-branbded pouch has so much cushion it could almost be a mini pillow.
When Oakley prints their warranty information, it is just another piece of paper folded in three. Swarovski actually printed a booklet (not forgetting including a big logo of Suxottica) for this release which shares the same design cue at the packaging and certificate of authenticity.
Lastly, there is the co-branded micro fiber cloth folded neatly in a cardboard case that shares the same elongated octagon shape as the presentation box, warranty booklet and certificate of authenticity.
Too bad these aren't serialized but I dont think these were mass produced due to the labor and skill needed for hand setting the crystals.
Overall, I'm glad to be able to pick up this pair and it is refreshing to see a well thought out product release albeit most of the lifting was done by Swarovski. I hope Oakley / Suxottica can learn a thing or two from Swarovski which to this day, remains a family-owned company and focuses customer experience and product quality rather making a quick buck on poorly planned, hastily released product drops.
My wife has a small collection of Swarovski figurines and the number one enemy of these shiny things is dust. This is why I decided to pickup a companion glass display to keep the crystals sparkling and dust-free.
