OFFICIAL 2017 COLLEGE FOOTBALL THREAD

I'm not a huge fan of School's / Professional teams that sell the naming rights. I know it generates a lot of cash flow, but still. Some stadium names should just be kept, and not sold. Becoming more rarer by the day.
I'm not keen on it either... Name it after something or someone significant to the school... I guess GSU could not keep the Turner Field name; I have no idea. I'm sure the locals will still call it The Ted... And this school is in its 8th season for football and you know football is expensive ... It was a major commuter school but enrollment has expanded over the years.

I'm not surprised by the Pros, it's all about the mighty dollar.

OSU wns 49-21 over Indiana in the season opener!

While not the most *impressive* win, the second half for the buckeyes was far different from the first.

What most won't know, is that Indiana' Head Coach was the Defensive Coordinator for our Offensive Coordinator last year, and Indian's uptempo offense in the first half was amazing. They averaged 13 seconds per offense play in the first half.

Buckeye's secondary is young, with lots of players opting for the draft early in the past few years.
Buckeye's also started their "second string" TRUE FRESHMAN RB who rushed for a Ohio state true freshman record of 181 yards on the ground.

J.T. Beret is finally looking like a QB who want's to throw instead of run, but is no way scared to run..

Huge test next week with Oklahoma coming to town.

Can't wait for the big Saturday games, Michigan vs Florida (with 10 players suspended) and the HIGHLY anticapated game against Alabama & FSU...

Thank God College Football is back, and NFL football starts next week!!!!!

Yeah the final score is misleading, Indiana actually led for most of the game, OSU just started to pull away late in the 3rd then blew it out in the 4th. It was certainly a more interesting game than the other OSU playing at the same time...

Yea. It was closer than most OSU fan's liked, but a win is a win. Looked like the same offense so it makes you wonder if they didn't want to show hand for next weeks matchup.

WR's dropped a few deep passes so that didn't help either. Next week should be fun

UT vs Maryland? Didn't see any of it but saw the final.. Was the score not as close as the actua game?

We were down by as much as 20 and caught up to being down by 3 but aside from making the first score we were behind the entire game, lost by 10. Yet the line favored us by 19.

We left three TDs on the field because of penalties. Offense, defense, special teams; all made mistakes. Ugly.

Maybe you were right then about your record this year... I'm sure you guys will get it all worked out!! I would be more concerned about giving up the total amount of points though!
