Yeah even though it's a train wreck it looks kinda cool... also interesting seeing the internal structure being printed...

So what happened, exactly? Almost looks like the printhead got out of alignment or the baseplate shifted, as opposed to the print collapsing...

Yea the glass is held on by binder clips, but only about 1/8 inch or so on two sides. Sometimes the nozzle will catch the print enough to shift the plate enough to pop the clips off, then it just rides around until the print stops or I cancel it. But I was asleep lol.

The printer normally prints on kapton tape stuck to the aluminum bed, but that only works about 75% of the time. You'll have warping, parts coming off, parts that get too stuck and are broken trying to remove them, and it's a pain to stick kapton on because it's so thin and big.

Using glass is awesome. It's removable so I can just take it out, put another plate in, and hit go instead of waiting for it to cool down. The prints are super stuck on because you cover the glass in elmers glue stick. I rarely have a warped print if my first layer is good. Printing now with ~97% success. And the prints just pop off when they cool due to contraction.

i thought it was a snake... lol!

Oops, I put that on the wrong post. I'm medicated... Heavily. I figured you would have already known the value of that new Doubletap coming out. You've got friends in high places.
Haha they don't know
