Its like cigarettes sometimes I get carded and id pulled out and numbers typed .by the "anal retentive " or the d $!# that wants to make your life harder because they dont like the way you look.

When you have as much gray hair as I do you don't get carded for ANYTHING.

For some reason I'm reminded of this story, actually happened to me once upon a time.

I was at a sporting goods store and made a purchase with a credit card. When I signed the receipt, the cashier looked at the back of my card - I had never signed the back of the card, and she tells me I have to do that.

Okay... so I sign the back of my card. She then proceeds to compare the signature on the receipt with the one on the back of the card. Both of which I had just made in front of her. Whatta friggin idiot...

I like where they need to see your card in their hands just to see the last 4 digits to punch it in the screen. When they start to ask me to hand them the card I recite them the 4 digits.....when they start to ask again I tell them the 4 digits again. I don't give up my card for nobody if I don't have to.
I also don't bother with signatures on the back of my cards. Also.....there are other stories but I will just keep nice and quiet about them

There was a little local drama this week... an 18 year old guy was found dead in his car in a parking lot. Turns out his family ran an exotic pets business and he had been bitten and killed by a monocled cobra, a very aggressive and dangerous snake. And the cobra had gotten loose...

The relevant part (to me) was, this happened less than a mile from my office. So, for a few days we were all concerned (more or less) about running into that snake.

But drama's over, now - it was found dead. Got run over by a car...

Good that it got killed. lol. I hate snakes with a vengeance. The other day I was doing my fast walking at the bike trail and what do I see in the middle of the road, a damn snake trying to cross from one side to another. My heart skipped a beat. It was like foot and a half long but still put the fear of God in my soul. lol. Disgusting creatures.
