Anybody see @Going Clear, the HBO documentary on Scientology. What a bunch of brainwashed kooks. Hopefully no Scientologists here, or I may have offended.

Wish I could have thought up a B*llSh*t religion and got millions to drink the kool aid so to speak. They have amassed a fortune into the billions of dollars on a religion supposedly taught to L. Ron Hubbard by aliens. "Oh, it was taught to you by beings from another galaxy, how do I sign up?"

Yeah I saw it the other week. I was already familiar with most of their dirty secrets, but this went deeper and had all those good clips of "Elron"...

I went to Christian school from preschool to 8th grade. Went through confirmation and joined the church as a young adult. While I was part of the lifestyle I couldn't fathom how anyone with any sense could be a nonbeliever and how they could ridicule the church and my religion.

Years later I've done an about face with religion. I won't let my son near anyone affiliated with a church as far as religious discussion and activities are concerned. I was able to see that religion exists for the benefit of the few and to keep a leash on the masses. It serves its purpose well in the second regard until wars are started in the name of a god.

I'm thankful for the values I learned while part of Christianity and spiteful for the missed opportunities early in my life as a result of decisions made with my religion in mind.

That's about all I can say without offending a ridiculous number of people.
