Official Chit-Chat Thread

Years later I've done an about face with religion. I won't let my son near anyone affiliated with a church as far as religious discussion and activities are concerned.
yea, there comes a time in a child's life when they realize "what hell is this garbage !?!?" HAHA !!!!

the human brain eventually thinks and analyzes the **** that it's being fed...

I think I was like 12 or 13 when I stopped going to church.....it was just dumb at that point...

I dont think of there being a God is the problem. I just think how the church portrays God and how it purtains to the common person is the problem.

I have a lot to say on the subject, and have wanted to, but I was raised with the lesson that there's two subjects you never bring up in a social conversation - religion and politics. Just too personal for too many.

I think it's good advice - things start nice and then get ugly. While a common passion (such as Oakleys) can bring together disparate people who would not otherwise associate, due to their beliefs on those subjects. Don't want to burn any bridges.

PMs are a different story, though... ;)

But otherwise I'm really tempted to post at least which side of the fence I fall on, so I'll say this much:

I am Groot...

That's why I tried to stick to an anecdotal opinion on the subject. There is a lot more I could say but I have no desire to step on others freedom of choice, and I would hope they felt the same.

I live by the I do what I want philosophy and you can do what you want. I won't make you do what I want as long as you don't make me do what you want. I live my life and you live yours.....just don't be a dumbass about it.

See attached video. :)

Soooo tempted to play thread police, but I decided to just let the post fester so someone else could lampoon the poster.
