Yes, Frank's right - The Simpsons. There's an old episode where Homer goes into space; they have an ant colony there for some sort of experiment and Homer accidentally spills it out in zero G. Meanwhile news anchor Kent Brockman is commenting on the video feed from the shuttle when one of the ants floats into view, looking giant because it's so close to the camera.

Brockman then goes on to speculate about the giant race of space ants, whether they'll eat humanity or merely enslave us, and finishes it off with a "I for one welcome our new insect overlords."

That was back in '94 and since then it's turned into a "snowclone", kinda like a meme template, of "I for one welcome our new [fill in the blank] overlords." It pops up in media now and then.

What does the forum reckon to the latest BMW Hommage, the 3.0 CSL:

I like it, though I don't know why they photographed it with a road-going version, it clearly takes its inspiration from the race versions.
