I'm very familiar with that video, first got a copy of it IDK, 7-8 years ago? It's mislabeled; those aren't civilians but combatants.

You can tell, the chopper is so far away the targets have no clue. Just note the delay between when they fire and when the rounds hit...
I just noticed that
yes indeed the chopper is far far away
impressive that technology
plus that steady hand
years of training
that dude must be a sniper

The way those things aim is it's tied into the HUD / Head's Up Display in their helmet. Basically you just look at something and it aims at it. Piece of cake...

You have to set the range, though - note his first shots don't get to the target, then he adjusts the range setting...

I'd like to have a bitch slap gun with that technology
aim ......bitchslap
aim ......bitchslap
:D

What I was really looking for was a super quiet .22 rifle I could take to my parents house and shoot without being loud (squirrels, possums, rabbits, etc)

Not quite as quiet as a bolt rifle, but one can still hear the splat of a hit 100m away. I've been using suppressed rifles for years and I'm not going back ;)
