Older Lenses (+Red Iridium P)

Simple question but important to me as value, age, and condition of lenses appear to fluctuate...

I have the opportunity to buy a pair of +Red Iridium polarized lenses, mint with no scratches. Tcould probably get away with buying for 100$ with the frames they're in... is this worth it? I was under the impression it's becoming quite difficult to source some of these lens colors, however the last pairs of +red I bought basically delaminated upon their arrival here in FL- I am not sure if it is the climate, the age of the lenses, or a combination...

Any feedback is MUCH appreciated- I am tired of having new-to-me lenses delaminating once they hit Tampa Bay... just want to make sure this would be a worthwhile purchase.

Unfortunately that’s the chance you take with older lenses. I’ve had lenses delam in my case on pairs that never got any face time. Your best chance would be to find some that are still sealed. What model are you referencing by the way?

Appears to be 24-356, the sunglass hut exclusive Acid Blues w/ +Red ir polarized. Seller is getting back to me with more photos. Really want the lenses for my Smokey brown Tortoise Fragments.

Since they’re frog skins, there should be someone here that has a set. Whether they want to sell them is another story.

+Red for Frogs…. Tough to find for sure. I just picked up a spare for Holbrooks before they stop making for them too. Nice lens for a not too bright day

And +Red Polarized? That was not very common at all - uggh might be worth the gamble, give them a nice cleaning to try and get any residual oils and containments off from the previous owner and hope for the best!
