Platinum Plate with Red Icon

I picked a Plate today and it has Red(ish) icons. I've only ever had one of these before and it had Gold icons. I remember seeing a thread about this some time back but cant find it. Anyone know anything about this? I know the guy I got them from didn't paint them and he bought them new way back when.

I have a set with one of each. They definitely look OEM to the piece. Really odd.

Yes, the gold icon have fallen off / taken off. The red is what is under the gold icons.

Very beautiful set if plates BTW. I personally like them better this way.

I too have that issue with one of my pairs of the 24ks. Will be taking one from my slightly scratched ones and transerring it. I don't like the look personaly, it doesn't fit with the FMJ.

No more metal icon bro, thats the filling inside the metal icon, the red that you see is plastic that was inside of it and the problem with plates i cant find a pair that will match the same icon. They are way too big

So the gold icon is like a cap? That makes more sense. Yeah good luck finding a replacement! I kinda dig it.
