Show Us Your Bike...

You let me use that evil, I will wear your prettiest dress while while doing the dishes.
That Santa Cruz is no joke. Not at all. If I was any stupider I would have one for bike park day. My friends all rent bikes for bike park day. I take my all mountain bike so I have limitations. I don't need unlimited confidence going into the jump line.
There were no such things as a MTB with triple clamps when I was in my twenties. I would have laughed if someone back then told me that MTBs would one day need triple clamps Because they will be hitting 80 foot gaps.

I got my ten year old a new bike. Something to get started mountain biking with. It's not awful. Has everything the big boy brands have at half the cost. But still better quality than a Wally world bike.

She made it ten feet from the paved trail before going into the trees.

Just showed my wife a pic of your little girl in the brush and she said “awwww, she is sooooo cute, I want her!” 😍

Yea, I was not going big like that in my 20s, at all.

I would have loved to own a GT when I was her age. That was THE brand when I was a kid. Everyone else had a Schwinn or Mongoose.

I had a huffy. It didn't last. As an adult I had a base trek. But it didn't end well. It lasted maybe three rides. I spent ten abusive years on a Gary Fisher before getting Santa Cruz. I pray I get ten years out of this bike. It's a base model that cost more than most vehicles that I have owned. And I am about to put another $650 into it soon.

There is a new documentary out about Gary. He is a weird dude but brilliant. My first proper bike was a Schwinn Mesa MTB. Probably $600 but it might as well have been a $12,000 Specialized to me when my parents showed up with it on my birthday.
