Saddle stitching time…dang I hate glue. What a mess. Luckily I like beat up looking leather.

Now I just need to leave the poor thing alone till tomorrow so the Oakley SI patch’s glue will dry and maybe stay on!

While it’s still a success in my books, the leather travel case is slightly too small for Contrails, fits Savitars snugly, but is perfect…so far for Wires.

I was trying to dig up some more assemble/disassemble info on Mars Frames in general. @Lopaka KaMars and @THE X-MAN?!?! You have 'got' to be kidding me with that Mars C-Ring removal? OK...putting the new ones on not so bad...but dang the removal...sheesh. I'd be sure to ram that pointy thing right thru a lens or with my luck crack an occular

I definitely need a cheap pair of 'replicas' to experiment on...I say again DANG!

This is the tool I use to spread those orbital tabs apart.just enough to get a fine tipped wiha screw driver to finish the job.but use tape on the orbitals or you'll scratch them.

I’ve not had to try this…but it’ll happen eventually I have no doubt

And wear safety glasses. Those rings are heat treated and they sometimes break and fly.

I never took a picture of it, but I have a lighted magnifying glass similar to the one in the screenshot. Helps for the fine work.

I’ve had stuff fly away never to be seen again. Lol.

I wear these things when I’m doing tiny stuff…the lenses set close to the eyes so should be decent protection as well.
