TBII Cleaning/Polishing

I use Cape Cod,NEVR-DULL,and/or the "Creamy Stainless Steel Polish" that I get from work.

I have some of the Cape-Cod polishing cloths. I found that giving the band a quick once over with that, then using a 3M scouring pad, a few passes away from the face, did the trick to restoring to like new OEM condition.

Wanted to update this thread - it’s raining like hell today so what better way to spend the day than taking apart and detailing the TBII?

I cleaned every piece with a Mr Clean Magic Eraser and light dish soap.

I then put masking tape over the crystal and CF on the face.

I used Scratch Doctor Nu Finish on some of the deeper scratches and swirls. Then rinsed thoroughly.

Next I polished all the titanium plates, and face with Cape Cod Polishing Cloths. This brought out a deep shine to the watch, taking away the brushed OEM look.

I wiped everything down after cleaning with a white microfiber hand towel before reassembly.

After reassembling, I took a 3M Scouring Pad, cut to the width of the band (h/t to @htrap2294) and brushed the length of the band, with the grain of the metal and gently firm pressure, to restore the OEM brushed look.

There are one or two deeper scratches that this process did not restore. I’m not confident enough yet to take them on, and want a second TBII as insurance should I screw it up before I try deeper scratch removal.

Here are the results:

What a beauty, it looks like new!

P.S: Is your Automatic a lighter red than the date or is it just me?

It was how the light was hitting it through the crystal. Dead on second hand, Automatic and date are all the same red.
