The Video Games Thread

Probably everyone wants a different selection. I can live very well with FFVII and Wild Arms personally.

Luckily i still have my original copy of FFVII and my backwards compatible ps2. I love how the mini systems are getting a new generation into the older games but I'm a pack rat so I still have my og NES, SNES, Genesis/32x/CD, N64, ps2, GameCube...so I'm set already!

I never got into GTA.....I'm actually out of gaming I'd be starting over.

I may have to see what's out there. I would like to see the last Half Life with res all jacked up on this rig my son is getting.

GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
16 GB RAM
i5 8600 6 cores

I know that's not the "Ferrari" model, but it will have some horse power for sure.

Nothing wrong with a well spec'ed budget rig. That 1060 6gb still has plenty left in the tank for today's games and the i5 is a good processor that shouldn't bottleneck at all with that card. Keep on dreaming for HL3, I've been waiting since the end of HL2 ep2....

I'm finally upgrading my hodgepodge rig this Christmas with a real gaming platform. i7 8700, 16gb RAM, 256gb SSD with a 2tb HDD +another 1tb HDD. And got this bad boy to put in it, like you not the Ferrari level with i7 8700k and 1080ti, but why pay $500-700 more for an extra 5-10fps on most benchmarks?

I am bit surprised that the remake of ff7 never came through bummer

But they were going to make the combat system more like FFXV instead of turn based RPG, and completely redo the materia system. Lots of hardcore FF fans, myself included, were very leery about those changes. But I have to admit FFXV was pretty amazing to play, just the story was lacking compared to the older titles like 7.

True i did play that for a little bit, but went back to shooters lol

I'm a fan of coop shooters but I'm past the days of being "competitive", I woke up one day a late 30's old man and realized that getting yelled at by 12 year olds wasn't really a productive use of my time anymore.

Hahahahaha same here hahahahaha That call of duty and zombies kinda fun though lol

I still have no problem with all the bad guys lining up on one side, all the good guys on the other and then taking turns to hit each other. ;)

Of the numbered FFs (that aren’t MMOs), the only ones I haven’t finished are XIII-3 and XV, because they don’t really play out like RPGs.
