The last game system I bought was the original Xbox. Stood in line at Best Buy the day it came out. Well, 2 kids later, my 9 year old has a Switch and is getting Xbox One for Christmas. Maybe I’ll get back into gaming once in a while.

Started out with Original NES and a few games. My dad actually played it more than I did. Man, he was good at the gold cartridge Zelda. He would play every night for a few hours. His record was both worlds, without dying, in 2 hours and 15 minutes. I guess an OG speedrun gamer, lol.

Got everything set up and running on the new rig. Pretty pleased overall, OCs done and stable. Getting 60fps on most of my games on ultra settings now

Posted before about ranking 7th in an event in Fire Emblem Heroes, a mobile game played by probably millions the world over. Actually got 2nd at one point in 2018.

i just picked up the new Alienware Area 51m laptop that just came out. my 5 year old Alienware was still going strong, but the 5 year old CPU was a bottleneck for the VR sim racing i like to do.

it's so nice to put a brand new game like Metro Exodus on all Ultra settings with ray tracing on high settings and everything is just smooth as butter. with ray tracing turned on the added depth of field due to lighting and the way lighting acts near camp fires compared to when ray tracing is turned off is really a big difference. i am a fan.

they gave me $270 dell account rewards i had to use within 3 months because of the laptop purchase. so i also got an Alienware 34in ultrawide 3440x1440 120hz G-sync monitor to use with it. with the presidents day sale and my rewards credit the monitor was a deal i couldn't pass up.

Also to note- Metro Exodus is amazing. play it if you can.

i get a free copy of that game with the laptop i bought when it comes out from Uplay because of some partnership they have with Tobii eye tracking. so i will be checking it out for sure. did you play the beta? if so how is it?

never played the first one. i am somewhat easy to please with video games though. i'm sure i will like it. my problem is now i have too many new games at once so it might take me a little bit to get to it. i have like 3 new VR games i haven't even started yet. i'm still playing Metro Exodus and the new Far Cry. i haven't touched Anthem yet, and i might not for a while until they make it better. i can't return Anthem because i pre ordered it so long before it came out and bombed. i still want to play more destiny 2 also. lol.
