View attachment 357809 This is what a saved serial number looks like..... For those who always wondered what is a saved serial number looks like.

I'm sure this has been covered before but is the serial number lasered on to the frame or is it paint? Say you cover up the serial number and then remove the finish... will that possibly remove the serial number?

I mask the area,then media blast,then paint and peel off the tape.serial numbers are laser engraved.

Is there any way to find out the font size and style of the serial numbers? If so, I can print out exact cuts of serial numbers that you can use. Theoretically, it should stop that ugly border.

I make decals and that's little numbers on there!!!! It can be done but that's tedious!

It is tedious, for sure. However, I'm sure if he can charge extra if customers want it to be that meticulous.

I tried something similar. With the vinyl that small, it'll get blown off during the blasting. Not enough real estate on those arms.

I suppose I could figure out the font and we engrave them on my laser but it's just too much hassle. And then you got the issues with the collectors of Faking serial numbers
