Tuned my first X-Metal sunglasses

Black ear sock that is a little sticky and torn on the ends.

A little play in the nose bridge and brown nose pads.

Purchased all tools and parts from Linegear - everything arrived within one week!

Completely disassembled.

After washing the sunglasses with mild dish soap, I'm ready to reassemble with new parts.

Slight hiccup with the pin, so I ran to Harbor Freight and picked up this needle file set (Linegear used this in their instructions too).

Problem solved. She's finished

Great work! Those little files work great...they also show using a wooden bbq skewer to help align everything without removing any material. It's a great video tutorial.

I looked at reference photos from Linegear and Lopaka and the pin should at least go through the first hole and I would use the pin pusher the rest of the way. The pin did not want to go through the first hole. So I used the need file, turned it a couple times and voila!

Not me. I never even wore them . I picked them up and they sat until @L2theuc purchased them. Quite the investigator we have here with his ability to figure out who I was on the bay. Great job @L2theuc on the disassembly on the frame and tune. I haven’t attempted to yet, if you need an iPhone repaired though let me know.

Seriously though guys this is a good dude we have been emailing back and forth for a couple of weeks and this guy wants to learn and is top notch. He set the bar high for his VERY FIRST PAIR OF OAKLEY’S. Kudos my man.
