Valve 1.0 fake? Or possible prototype?

What do the screws look like? Are they a Torx or something else?

Phillips screws, no text on the bridge, icons were funny, orbitals didn’t quite run flush with the arms, no “L” or “R” inside the orbitals, “Made in USA” and “CE” are incorrect…

Looks like a Platinum with missing bridge text and the wrong lenses.

With Phillips screws I'm leaning towards fake. Sorry.

It’s no problem I thought so I’ve already got rid of them but just trying to find some photos as I’m sure the casting marks were similar

Agree with Lopaka…the Phillips screws are virtually a sure sign of a fake. Looking closely at em it was hard to say. The fit of lugs looked off. The posts of the nose bombs looked better than the last fake I dissected. The one pair of fakes I was given (knowingly to compare with one of my OEMS) the nose pads posts were more obviously squared and off. Also the nose pads themselves were much larger and squared up. The biggest tell to me was holding a real and a fake and the weight was quite different. In that case the fake was much lighter.

Sadly they are getting better and better at making these fakes.
