What Are You Driving ?

i did a couple more things to the new truck in the last week. added a tailgate shock so i don't have to hold it when it goes down and i can open it one handed while i have tools in my other hand or whatever. some brands have that shock from the factory now, it's a nice feature and only like 30 bucks to buy the kit.

also i installed my Bakflip F1 folding hard tonneau. looks nice and flush and matches the color of the tops of the rambox toolboxes. because of that from a distance you almost can't tell it has a cover on it. this cover can support up to 400 lbs on top of it (so i can stand or sit on it if i want to) and folds up so you can use the full bed. it is one of the few hard covers you can use with the rambox bed and still be able to open the toolboxes when the tonneau is closed.

I really like that setup. Too many people buy trucks and neuter them with covers and tonneaus that scream "this will never see truck use, I should have got the SUV".

I really like the look of standard cab trucks, but unfortunately I need at least an extended cab for leg room, the seat won't go back far enough.

i don't have a choice but to use it as a truck. lol. you might be surprised at modern full size standard cabs. they have much more cab room than they used to. i am 6'1'' and i actually had to move the seat forward in this truck. there is even storage bins behind the seat and center console since the cab extends back pretty far. i had a standard cab truck for a daily driver about 10 years ago and it was the same problem you are talking about. i couldn't put the seat back far enough to get comfortable. that's not a problem in newer models.
