Actually Medusa, I’m ripping the obvious care and craftsmanship and quality control that pervades the manufacturing of most things these days.

Just get it out the door...they’ll buy it.

Nobody cares.

So way back when I was in law school. Kia was relatively new in the States at the time. And this dealership in town was blasting every commercial break on the radio to drum up business. I **** you not, the offer one whole summer was buy one Kia Rio, get one free. My wife (who was just the girlfriend still at that time) was visiting and said she saw a billboard for this "kia car" buy one get one free and asked me how they could sell things that cheap. I joked about it was a Korean company that was trying to enter the US market and they were offering that deal so you had a backup car after the Chinese steel frame snapped going over a railroad track. Glad to see things haven't changed much, just the price they think they can get away with now.

Don’t get me wrong here, @beau1890 ...it’s a nice car. Not 40 k nice necessarily. But I had a $73,000 Hyundai Genesis sitting here for 120 days or so. I’m not sure the world is ready for that. I’d buy a used Benz S class for that money before I’d ever buy that car...and I do this for a living.

Oh I'm sure the quality has gone up over the years. I just always laugh when I remember those adverts for BOGO on a car. 73k for a Hyundai seems a bit...extreme.
