Vegans.
Not for their beliefs or dietary restrictions, or the normal stuff. But their need to still eat vegan version of normal food. If you want the food eat the food. If you want to not eat animal products for whatever reason (no matter how stupid I think it is) DON'T GO TRYING TO MAKE RUINED VERSIONS OF GOOD FOOD.
A guy I know from college, whom I really should unfriend on Facebook, posted his paczki replacement at some fru-fru vegan bakery. His post says "they can do it right!" and uses the hashtag "paczkiwhat".
Don't. It won't be nearly as good as the real thing. It might be good, but it will not be made with butter and fried in animal fats. You cannot recreate the texture, the creaminess, the crispy exterior, the soul filling joy of chewing that dough. If you want a damn donut eat a donut. Don't try to replace it with some half-hearted attempt to justify your lifestyle.
I have a much longer rant on vegans in general, but vegan burgers are NOT burgers. Vegan cookies.... nope, not a cookie if you don't use 90% of the required ingredients.
