With all 3 eggs eaten by ravens, i turned to this nest to follow the two eaglets Hope and Peace....... now they are both dead, probably by eating food with rat poison in it....... i am just devastated , so is the poor "ladyhawk" that follows all the bird nests and uploads these videos, for all those people that can´t watch the live streams all day.
watching these nests is not relaxing, it¨s fukking brutal stuff
It is a very tragic turn of events to first lose Peace and then early this morning to see Hope pass away on the nest. Connie arrives to the nest in the last few minutes before Hope takes her last breath around 03:48 AM. Hope suffered terribly for many hours and it is heartbreaking and tragic! I did everything I could as soon as I saw Hope bleeding yesterday by contacting AEF, CROW and other individuals but there was not enough time to save this precious chick. Hope fought so hard trying to survive but is now at peace with no more suffering.
I am devastated and angry with what I believe was rodenticide poisoning that killed both Peace and Hope on this nest. May you rest in peace little one and soar high now with no more pain and be with your sibling Peace. RIP little ones.
