X-metal screw problems.

For reference i have used this...

Micro Grabit 4-Pc. Set Broken Bolt Extractor

On rounded screws but only once or twice. Most come out after being cleaned with a wiha driver, if not i drill them out.

My two cents...
I put WD 40 , on The stripped screws let it sit for 2 hrs. No less , and use my oakley screw driver again, never fail, if needed use a bigger size of oakley screw driver....
I will try all peoples recommendations. Try and find the best way. Cheers bro.

I have gotten screws out in a number of ways. I once turned a damaged T6 head into a flathead by making a simple little groove with the Dremel. Another time I used a 2 part solid ass resin and attached the T6 until it sets. Then simply twisted out. That method does lose you your T6 though. Glad you got yours out ok Mike :)

I've run into a couple now that stepping up a size in torx didn't work. The screw extractor didn't work. Drilling it and using an easy out resulted in it twisting off what was left of the head so ended up making aqua regia and dissolving the screw lol. All in all actually easier I think to dissolve it now that I've had to do it a couple times. Leaves perfectly intact threads behind and no worry of messing up the threads drilling. But not a feesable route if not refinishing the frame.
