X-Metals As Safety Glasses?

No. They wrap a lot more than standard M Frames, but they're very bendy arms. The wrap makes up for the lack of rubber.

But I only wear them a max of 3-4 hours at a time. But I also have a big head.

I pulled my glasses out of the car and they actually are stamped now that I take a good look at them. Stamped as Z87+ on one arm and on the left it reads "EN166 IF Z87+ AS/NZS 1337". I don't know what any of that besides the z87+ means. I'm assuming the 3.0 would meet all this stuff too since its military eyewear?

The M Frame lenses are marked Z87+ under the frame. They exceed ANSI standards.

I highlighted the difference between ANSI and MIL in the ballistic Crosshair thread. The ANSI test is a small ball at like 100mph. ANSI high speed is the same ball, but faster. MIL is a cylindrical slug that's about 4x the size in mass, and is fired at like 600mph.
