My first tentative steps in Rust

Thought I'd try doing rust effect in a pair of Fuel Cells. Bought a cheap pair of White ones and the painting has begun.

Using a variety of rust coloured acrylics, I apply each colour, using an acrylic paint brush. For the start, I'm still applying the rust mix 1. Each day I paint on a coat and leave until the next day. Building the effect gradually.

The other side, with Rust mix 1, Day 2.

Still on Rust mix 1, day 3.

2nd application and paying more attention on the frame.

Day 4.

Still using Rust mix 1. Still yet to paint the inside of the O and paint an alternative colour for the Os.

Day 5 Fuel Cells Rust Effect. Same rust mix, no.1.

Added some Tamiya Accent Colour, but can't see it, with the paint the depth it is. Will need to build up this next tone, gradually.

Thank you for your advice, only problem is, I live across 'the pond', from you. Also, the price for a 2oz kit costs £25 ($31), so my £2.99 30ml bottles seem to be a cheaper alternative.
I've been using this to paint my Fuel Cell's. Which I apply, gradualy and build up texture and stryations in the colour. Giving the impression of corrosion, over a long time.

I continued painting with my first Rust colour. After having applied the first matte clear coat, to seal the texture.

Thank you, @Msgt Oakley, my intention was for 'solid' texturing, so far, so good!

Rusty enough, after a dab of Green Stuff World Light Oxide Rust and then another coat or two of Matte Clear. Also played a little with a New cheap airbrush I bought a short while ago. Mixing it as one.

After applying some more Rust Effect 1, I mix some Tamiya Panel Line Accent Colour, in Deep Brown, Orange Brown and Black.
I'm quite happy with the rust effect, taking shape.
