Hi guys and girls, new here, signed up to hopefully get some professional help from the people in the know on a pair of holbrooks i bought recently off ebay here in the uk. Theyre a matte white pair with the purple icons and purple iridium lenses. non polarised.

Ive done as much research as possible, through the net and youtube, on whether these shades are real or could be fake. Hopefully i'll save you all some time replying by telling you what i have tested and found on this pair thus shortening your required responses. A brief answer whether you think these may be real or fake will suffice and i would appreciate your help. then i can act accordingly (get money back if fakes)

ok so here goes: (the areas i am concerned about i have asterisked for you guys to reference quickly)

-Inside of the right arm has a nicely raised 'made in u.s.a ce'

*** -Inside of left arm has the various info in black which seems to correspond with the official numbers. BUT there is no raised 'HOLBROOK' ... this is my main concern. do they all have that raised 'holbrook' on the inside of the arms?

* -The purple icons i have tested with a magnet and are metal. very gentle pull when bringin close. i cannot seem to get any pull on the pins on the front of the shades (which are white). is this correct?

-The arms do seem to gently snap into the outer position

-Ive scratched at the inside of the arm with my fingernail and no paint comes off, seems solid white plastic throughout.

-I have weighed them on digital scales and they come in at 26.68grams. oakley state 27g weight so seems right

-On one site i noted a measurement for the temple length (pivot joint to arm end) Is this variable on different pairs as mine dont match up? i presume this size/fit can be specified when buying

-The pivot points are a two pronged affair, no screws, and each arm has L1 and R1 raised on the inside of the hinge, viewable when the arms are closed.

*** -The nose bridge measurement is miles out from what is quoted on a site i checked. They say 18mm. mine are more like 10mm at the top. 12mm at that flared out bit. 18mm on mine is like halfway down the nose section.

Overall they seem nearly right but having never owned a pair of holbrooks im struggling without a guaranteed genuine pair to compare to.

Any help is gratefully received! im hoping the oakley community is better than some other communities ive visited in the past with a question. if you want anymore info please let me know, il check back on here in a couple of days.
thanks in advance
all the best
