Prices Are Stupid Crazy.

Ebay is over priced because many people are forced to charge more because of fees, shipping, 1099k, Paypal, insurance, and everything that's associated with selling.

I would say this is the choice of the seller and not they are "forced" to charge higher prices. That's the nice thing about the free market though, people can charge whatever they like and it's going to either sell or not sell. I've seen some Kozik Hijinx for $1400 on ebay for a while now. If a buyer see's the value of a "deal" the item sells, if not, it sits.

Like most people, i'm always looking for a deal and will scoop one up if I can. I prefer not to pay more than retail for an item and there are very few things in the world I'd do so for. I understand FGG comment about selling here though because yeah, we're looking for a deal. He was able to scoop up quite a bit more on some watches through ebay than he could on the forum. I hardly sell on here either since I know I can always fetch more on the ebay market, even with fees. Prices go up and down, it's just a matter of buying when they're down and selling when they're up.

One of a kind items are very difficult to price for collectors and there is a much smaller market as the price goes up. 1400$ for a one of a kind pair of Koziks or any super rare Oakley item is alot, that's just the nature of an item like that.

Saying that no one knows more about Oakleys than he does. There is always someone else stronger, faster, more intelligent, and more knowledgeable. Only a fool thinks otherwise.

I guarentee there are people on here that know far more about Oakleys than you or I ever will.

I didnt say that, I said I "doubt that" only in response that there are people on here that "know -FAR- more" than me about Oakley products and I was speaking about the forum ,not the whole world in reference to your post. As far as your concerned I have a masters in Oakley products but who cares, that and 25 cents buys you a news paper or a 1/2 hour on a parking meter.

This is looking more and more like the thread that jumps the shark- tipping point stuff.

Says the seller of said item lol

I have said in all of my listings that I would post them here and if they didn't sell they would go on the bay for inflated prices so that I could cover all the costs and in most cases make a decent sized profit compared to what my offering was here (generally I post here for $100-150 less on watches and $50-80 less on glasses... I have stayed true to my word and sold items on the bay in days after they have sat here for a week or two with no interest...

So tell me I'm asking too much? I feel I can't be because I put them at market price on the bay and they get snatched up quick.

Its no secret that I have bought entire collections so that I can get better pricing on the pieces that I want out of a collection, but when I try to pass deals along on the other items here within the community there has been little interest.
WHY? Because as I stated earlier, because everyone here is looking for a SCORE... Not knocking it, just saying if that's how you plan to collect then you can always expect to miss out because the gems of my collection didn't come cheap and I will always be willing to pay the price it takes on the items I want while others wont...

Im not some spoiled rich kid that's beating you out, I work hard for my money but I'm a veteran collector that knows the game and what it takes to be successful at it...

TarHeel... The market dictates prices and unfortunately Oakley has decided to limit production on multiple items, this creates inflation and product frenzy and that's when the scavengers aka: Profit Resellers hit the scene looking for a quick profit but if you are a good collector you will be there before them so you don't have to pay the mark up. You said "I just think some people especially on ebay are going way overboard on the prices." Well brother you may "THINK" that all you want, but if there are buyers at those prices guess what? That is Now Market Price....

So in conclusion my opinion is simple... He who has wants not, he who has not wants what I have...
