Too big?

Holbrook R OO9377-0355.

I got the Holbrook R's since I wanted glasses with rubber pads that would not slide off my face in hot weather, but still had a bit of a casual look. Depending on the angle, they might be a tad wide for my face though. What do you think? And what would be a proper alternative for my face? (for me it is really important they don't slide down, I could sacrifice a bit on the aesthetics side for this if necessary).

Straight on they look fine but those gaps on the sides may let more light in. Something a little narrower may have better coverage for you. I'm not very familiar with the newest frames but the sliver stealth is smaller and would probably provide you better coverage and still give you that casual look. I don't think they have rubber on the nose though.

Guys, excuse me for my very late reply and thank you both for the input. It was appreciated.

In the end I decided to send the Holbrook R's back since I didn't feel a 100% about them. Today I went to a local Oakley dealer and bought a Flak 2.0 XL matte black/prizm black (OO9188-7359). It definitely is a safe (almost dull) choice, but my reasoning was that - apart from this being a good allround and practical model - this pair at least is a neutral basis for some fancier looking replacement lenses. Wednesday may 22 I'm going on vacation, now let's hope for a lot of sunshine in Albania.

Btw, the Flak 2.0 XL came with a case (Racing Jacket Soft Vault). The saleswoman in the shop said it belonged to the pair of sunglasses. I said this was not a given, since on Oakley.com you only get a soft microbag. Also in the online shop in which I ordered the Holbrook R the case was not standard. Of course since I bought the Flak 2.0 XL at a dealer without any special discount it was not cheap (159 euro including VAT), but at least I got the case, which is nice.
