How will it do that? By bringing in more foreigners? make them US citizens. Like Joe B wants. Remember 70+ mil did not vote for Joe and his team. They want to change the US. Some won't have it. Just like you did not want the EU to change the UK, so you wanted out.

Okay, fair. What i think: Brits could not recognize their own fukking country anymore, was starting to look like Beirut. EU laws prohibited the UK from doing anything about it. So they voted out...... what other major reason could there be. Suddenly brits don't' like Swedes, Belgians, Danes, French? (okay, nobody likes the French) .... no, that is not the reason.That is a potential essay and at 11pm at night I don’t want to start one of those!!
I could be wrong, i might be wrong.... but i don't think i am. And i will always believe that is the reason.
Luckily we can still deal with each other. EU did not demand the hard breixt. Nice...

Short version, because they were too stupid to look in front of their nose.
Longer reason: Mostly over immigration and the perception that 'Europe' was secretly draining the nation's finances.
Neither was at all true, we had plenty of powers to send EU citizens back to their home nations if they didn't work and pay taxes, our own government was the one that didn't use them. We also had opt-outs and vetos over how much British money got paid into the EU and where it was spent.
In the four and a half years since the vote it's been interesting/funny/depressing watching the proud Brexiteers steadily clam up as they realised that this country literally requires Western Europe's help to function on a day to day basis. We will still be following EU rules at all times, we will be paying much more money to them than we were for decades to come, but we've given up any influence over what those rules will be or where that money goes.
