Any Sneakerheads In The House?

Speaking of an Adidas collab, I noticed yesterday there was a release of the Grinch x Adidas this year. I decided to scoop up a pair locally since delivery would probably take too long for an event coming up. Called up a couple of HIBBETT stores and made the mini road trip.

Adidas released two colorways on its site and app. The store I went to only had one in stock and one in a size 13. It was a tasteful done collab, IMO. it even came with a small red Christmas ball.

The tan suede/orange color way must be popular because it’s almost gone. I like the subtleness of these though.

November pick-ups:

Anta Shockwave 5 Pro
Kyrie moved on from Nike because of you-know-what if you follow the NBA.
This is not his signature, but they paired him with this shoe, and upon initial leaks I saw where they were going with it.

I don't like the price, but this thing has been killer in respect to performance.

Black Friday pickup was the Nike Terminator.

Things went to plan and they did land under $50.
Still some of that cheap leather but a cool shoe to beat up and I can't complain with this price.

As far as recent releases, I think I checked everything off the Nike 1984/85 basketball list — specifically with fully-stitched on soles.

Dunks
Jordan 1s
Air Force 1
Air Ship (albeit PE)
Vandals
and now the Terminator

I think the remainders are the:
Convention High
Air Train II
Skyforce
Dynasty

Not dying to have those, but I'll probably keep an eye out to complete the bucket list.

Those anta shockwave look so slick bro!

Jordan True Flight

Basically went into it as a short term pick-up. Of all the common sneakers that I've seen come and go, I was just to what these were about because they've come back multiple times now. Expectations weren't high but sorta hoped they'd have some surprise to them in being a capable performance shoe just to mess with. There isn't any other performance shoe on the market that looks like that other than the 7 itself, which is kinda dated.

Cushion, stability and traction are actually really good. Just not a fan of how they lace up top, which probably stopped me from actually really liking these.

Another Sabrina 1, Nike By You build

Trying to get my fix of these in case the successor doesn't turn out too well. I also wanted to finally get another performance shoe with gum rubber, although the Sabrina 1 has some really good traction with the regular rubber already imo.
Maybe I'll get one more pair if I come up with another Nike By You combo I like, or a GR for mad cheap.

99.9% certain these are the last for the 2023 year for me.

Jordan 38 Aqua

PF version because I think the grey outsole is more faithful or the original "Aqua" color scheme than the translucent that North America usually gets.

Performance-wise the 38 hasn't been my favorite shoe, but the aesthetic factor pulls me in to add another pair, which I think is true about what makes up a proper mainline Air Jordan.
Ironically I don't expect to buy a second pair of my current favorite performance shoe.

The aqua tongue in these is legit. Good pickup!
My son got a pair of nike sb dunk lows and harden 7 for Christmas.

What's your favorite performer?
