Beware of Scammers!

We all want nice stuff for cheap.

But, beware of scammers here. Please report if you suspect something is “off”.

Data leaks are everywhere and a number of accounts have been hacked (I assume due to recycled passwords and accounts with no 2FA activated).

Tips
- All bets are off with PayPal G&S. As long as PayPal receives shipping registration, as long as it is delivered (even if it is to a different address), PayPal WILL NOT protect you (@Nucchem). See here.

- Some giveaways are new accounts or old accounts recently becoming active and selling off tons of high end gear.

- If in doubt, get confirmation with named/dated pictures or live video confirmation.

- Be aware that even active previously honest account holders can go bad (eg @YakuzaFloralGangsta and @wavecloud et al). Lesson? Treat everyone with caution, even admins have gone rogue previously.

- Watch for when you are paying via PayPal, that the PayPal account matches member’s OF known location ie that money is not going offshore, if the member is supposed to be based in the USA (see pic).

P.S. Be aware that currently there is a rogue Thai collector selling medusas and romeos.

I got scammed on eBay by a relatively new member right here. What a DBAG. Took me for a pair of PB1 by doing a CC chargeback against the purchase. I even had conversation with him on both eBay and by phone text during the whole transaction process. I would love for him to call me out as I wouldn't hesitate to throw him right under the effin bus, drag him out, and toss his scamming a$$ right back under a second time
