Can I use WD-40 in titanium metal?

I am planning to overhaul my Juliet, change the temple and orbital screws along with the washers. As the title goes, is it safe to use WD-40 in cleaning the residues or should I use soap and water only?

No need for harsh petroleum chemicals …. Just a warm bowl of water with dawn and a toothbrush will clean them.

I use that to loosen up my nose bridge... noone likes their nose bridge stiff
