Cleaning Soft Vault

I bought a pair of Juliets recently and they came with a X-Metal soft vault. The vault is pretty dirty and smells of smoke. What is the best way to clean these without damage? Just soap and water in the sink or is there a better way?

I'd use a soft brush. The smell is going to be hell to get out.

i'd risk sticking it in the washing machine (maybe inside sock?) - couldnt stand any trace of stale smoke....

I use hand soap (no lotion/moisturizing types) and warm water in the sink. Honestly though, I'd probably clean it but I would just get another baggie from my local vault. If you don't have one there are plenty of forum members here who have extra soft vaults to sell you for a few bucks. Those things don't last forever, and this way you can personalize your glasses a bit

I just used Kiwi sport shoe cleaner on one. I let it soak in a bit and wiped it clean with a cloth. It seems to have done the trick.
