Forgive my ignorance but what's the difference?
The Flag of St. George is a white background with a red cross on it

Where as the Union Jack is made up of the flags that make up The United Kingdom. England, Scotland, Ireland & Wales

As Oakley_Sight says, St. George flag is the flag for England, Union Jack is the flag for the United Kingdom. However, just to be clear the Union Jack represents England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, not Ireland - we don't want to start anymore trouble. If you hear the term Great Britain that means England, Scotland and Wales only, not Northern Ireland.
