Does anyone know what caused this?

This is the second pair I’ve travelled with that this has happened to. I thought it was that something hit it, but now this time I’m pretty sure nothing hit them in storage while traveling.

They travel in a soft case inside of a hard case and I’m nearly sure nothing hit them. They are flaking\bubbling in the corners and have been for a while.

Maybe this is related and the iridium is just old?

Unfortunately delamination is a common occurrence with + Red lenses.

You can see it setting in on the edges I would say exposure water warmer then room
temperature seems to accelerate delamination in my experience

Change it to an after-market lens. I use Linegear, Fuse, Ikons, Marien, and a couple others. And I have yet to see a good after-market lens delaminate like an Oakley lens.
