Fires in NorthWest Denver… very close….

We are a couple a miles away from the fire, I live literally between the Louisville and Lafayette borderline, luckily the fire seems to be blowing more south, my prayers to anybody who has family in Louisville, and hope everybody got away safe
My parents live in Louisville. It’s a lovely little town and it’s very sad this happened. My father thinks (at the moment) that their house is between the northern and southern fires, based upon the information he has received, but they were both not in the house when the evacuation order came, so they have literally, the clothes on their backs and their car. Luckily my sister lives in Arvada, so there is family close.

My thoughts are with you as well @DaysOfNoah .

One of my german friends lives in Littleton CO.
I need to get in contact with him to find out how he is doing.

Yikes. Whereabouts are these fires? Like broomfield area? Are these wildfires? I thought Denver was getting pummeled by snow today

Denver area getting snow today, but the fires hit yesterday. Broomfield I think was east of the fires but some of the western portions might have been affected.

Louisville, Colorado got hit hard.

Some personally great news though - our friends home is completely fine. The other homes in their cul-de-sac burned to the ground, except theirs and the one next to them are untouched. Total miracle.

Meanwhile, looking to help those families in need…

Holey moley. I’m glad their home was okay. But I can also imagine they could have survivors guilt too especially since only 2 homes made it. I hope they don’t think that way, but I also hope the city provides some sort of grief counseling
