Glasses other than oakley?

I found my Eyevans I misplaced. In the rear, folding armrest in my car. 🤦‍♂️ Cleaned my car inside and out 5 or 6 different times trying to find them.

Feels like Christmas :)

Found these in the storage, my uncle must have forgotten them. They've been in the storage room for at least 20 years. I'm not sure if these are pre or post Lux. BL on the lenses, Made In USA on one stem, China on the other. Not sure if they're worth fixing up, they're loose at the hinges. Paint as you can see is almost gone.

Damn! Those are some OLD knockoff Ray ban’s. Give away is the BL painted. The vintage Rayban’s with the BL in the lenses, are finely etched (also tiny/thin font — closer to the outer edges of the lenses). Those appear to be painted, also, not close to the edges of the lenses. Those are probably some of the oldest RB Knockoff’s that I have seen.
I’d say, if you were somewhat close with your uncle, just wipe em down, and keep them how they are, for sentimental value.
If not — NUKE EM!!!

They look like RB3025 aviators... Luxottica bought Ray-Ban in 1999, and IIRC before then Ray-Ban was manufacturing everything in the US. After Lux, they started manufacturing in Italy and China.

I'm wondering if those are fakes, though

Edit: Damn, @TravisCook beat me to it LOL... Seeing the "China" on one stem and "Made in USA" on the other was the giveaway for me, and the positioning of the Ray Ban logo on the lens (too far from the edge)

Yes, they look to be based off the RB3025 — Classic Ray Ban Aviator. I have an Old pair that my mom gave me. When I get home later this evening, I would love to show a photo! They are in very poor shape but as momma recalls, she stole them from a classmate she hated (sorry whomever that might be). If I recall correctly, these would be from mid-late ‘80’s.
I’ll update this post later, with a photo.

Still neat, to me anyway, that a pair of fakes, THAT old, made it this far.

I'm not that close to him, after 10+ years of not seeing him I've only seen him twice last month. But they're going to the trash, he's not asked about them in decades and I'm really not into knockoffs. 😁 The lense feels good tho, not cheap plastic, feels like actual glass.

Now I want the real thing. 😎 Gonna start looking.
