How can I validate an Oakley watch

I have an Oakley timebomb that I bought from the London store. I know it's real but when I recently went to sell it I was told it was fake. I know it's not but the thing that was strange was the serial number. It's 001377 but doesn't seem to be stamped in the same way as most that I have now seen. Does anybody know anything about this ?
