Is there any way to clean the leather on Mars leather?

So I see a couple of these on eBay and they are pretty disgusting looking. The leather looks like it was used to wipe an ass with, seriously! Sorry if they belong to someone on the forum, but they are gross. Is there anyway to clean that leather without ruining it? I really want a pair of these and the prices are good but the leather looks like ass!

Yes. I think @saulsaul may have done it. I know someone did and it comes out refreshed but not perfect.

I haven't but I know there are threads with pics by one or two who have tried with some success. But never looks like the original suede in my opinion.

Found a thread on it but it didn't really say what he used. Im thinking just soap and water to start and then try to condition it?
